Affiliate and Advertising Disclosure
How this site earns money
- Display advertising. Pages may show ads served by Google AdSense. Advertisers have no ability to change the figures we publish, and we do not accept payment for ad placement above or beside a specific data table.
- Affiliate links. Some links to retailers or service providers may earn us a commission if you buy or request a quote through them. When a page contains affiliate links, that page says so at the top of the section, not only here.
- No sponsored data. We do not accept payment to include a product in a comparison, to change a price range, or to alter an incentive row.
What affiliate links never affect
- Incentive amounts, caps, eligibility and dates. Those come from the issuing agency and carry a check date.
- Cost ranges. Those come from published surveys or collected quotes.
- The order of any comparison table.
Why we still use them
Running a niche reference site costs money. Commissions let the site stay free and let us keep checking government program pages every month. If a program stops being worth covering because it is too volatile to keep accurate, we retire the page rather than leave an old number standing.
If you disagree with a recommendation
Tell us on the contact page and say which claim you think is driven by commission. If it is, we will say so plainly and fix it.
